I do not know at this time the exact date this facility received its first walruses; the earliest confirmation I have of Shanghai housing the species is a video of adult female Feier uploaded on February 6th, 2019 (see her profile for more information).

This facility did not have a dedicated walrus habitat; they were only visible during scheduled performances at the park's Sea Lion Theater.
