Fanya was transferred to Primorsky "about two weeks" after capture.
Fanya and Mira both passed away following a previously scheduled tusk removal surgery.
Several sources state that this walrus arrived at Primorsky in September 2013, although she was scheduled to arrive on July 25th. It is possible that the transfer was postponed last-minute, if this information is accurate.
