Notes and Information
The images found here have all been gathered either from this facility's official resources or news articles.
At the time of her death Neseyka was the last surviving Atlantic walrus in captivity, with the exception of a hybrid calf sired by a Pacific bull and born to an Atlantic cow.
Neseyka's cause of death was stated by Greenpeace Russia to have been cardiac arrest caused by ingestion of a foreign object. As published by Zoo Udmurtia, her necropsy revealed a blood clot in her heart and polystyrene foam in her intestines.
A specific date of death has not yet been published. Neseyka was last sighted via content uploaded to social media by a park guest on September 15th, 2022.
