Notes and Information
I have no exact information on this individual's age. A sign outside their exhibit in 2013 stated simply that the pair were both "in their early 20s"; her approximate capture date is set here under the assumption that she was collected at the same time as Seita. See his profile for more information.
There is a significant possibility that Uchi is the same animal as a 1990 pup imported to Izu-Mito Sea Paradise from the Moscow Zoo. That pup, alongside its herdmate (who is also possibly the same individual as Uchi's herdmate, Seita), were transferred together to Hakkeijima on April 22nd, 1993, prior to the facility's opening the following month. The unknown individuals were last confirmed alive on April 28th, 1997.
