I have no exact information on this individual's import date -- however, articles from 2016 reference him as being 13 years old. This contradicts other statements, which name him as being imported in 2001 under one year of age.
Marineland's walrus Sonja was imported from the Moscow Zoo in 2001, with Apollo and Zeus arriving at Marineland two months later. Therefore I presume, although I am not certain, that this animal was also housed at Moscow prior to import into Canada.
